Some pages displaying at 800 x 600 even when the resolution is 1280 x 1024

I have a strange IE6 problem.

When I go to www.msn.com the page downloads as normal, but
it only fills 2/3 of the screen. The right 1/3 of the
screen is the blue background colour.

I tried installing Firefox 1.0pr and the problem is still
there.

Other pages display normally.

It is as if the computer thinks the screen resolution is
only 800 x 600, even though the actual resolution is 1280
x 1024.

Has anyone else experienced this problem.

Cheers.

Hi Jeremy :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Window display too small

http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers.htm#new_window_max
and possibly
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers2.htm#window_small

or.....................

Webpage view too small - won't fill screen

Many pages are hard coded for an 800 pixel wide display and won't display
any wider. Have you tried View | Text Size?

See http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers.htm#new_window_max and possibly
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers2.htm#window_small
