some pages can't be redirect

I had this PC with windows 98 (orig ver) with IE
6.0.2800.1106IS (latest updated), a lot of web pages can't
be redirect even from MSN.COM and YAHOO.COM (news). I
couldn't figure it out why.
is any one can help? thanks.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
