Some of my file names have changed color -- can this be undone?

When I look in my directories, some of the file names have changed color. To
my knowledge I did nothing to make this happen. I cannot find a way to
change them back to black. Anyone have any suggestions?

Not a Word issue, but I expect you have allowed Windows Disk Cleanup to
"Compress old files". No need to do anything about this - though if you edit
the file and resave it will go black (uncompressed) again.

Files or folders shown in blue are compressed.

If you don't want that, right-click the file, select Properties, click the
Advanced button, and clear the box for "Compress contents to save disk
space".
