So far ive looked at quite a few headphone reviews over the past few days, that ive wondered... What has been your best set of headphones that youve owned?

Personally for me it would have to be the Sennhienser HD 280 pro. Easily the best set ive ever had, in terms of bass response to clarity.

Anyone care to share their response?

so far its been the Sennhienser PC151's, Tried the 350's and was unimpressed.

Been thinking of getting the new-ish Logitech G35's, seem to get decent reviews.

Quad would be a good person to ask & he's now based in the USA so more useful for Alf.:thumb:

I will be more than happy to assist anyone needing help as always.

I have been using headphones for almost 35 years now, it has always been my prime tool to review music and to test certain components in the audio chain. Currently I use the Sennheiser HD-600 and it has served me well for over two years now. Before I had the Sennheiser HD-580.

I had reviewed the Sennheiser PX-200 here on PC Reveiw sometime back and you can check the review out for general information.

I reviewed the Sennheiser HD-600 as well at another audiophile site which you can check out as well.

Once you have read the reviews ask anything you want and I will try me best to guide you in the right direction based on your budget and the type of sound you are looking for. I would also need to know what you will use to hook up your headphones to as that also is an important consideration. The equipment you hook up your headphones to could be a Cd player, Preamplifier, Integrated amplifier or a dedicated headphone amp.

I look forward to your response

Sorry to keep you waiting, Personally im not quite sure what i would be willing to pay for a new headset. And as far as connections - I would mostly connect to my computer (Creative X-fi).

You need to decide on a budget for sure without which not possible for any recommendations. However, you do say that you will connect to your computer so my suggestions would be to stick to lower impedance phones.

Hmmm... Lets say a budget of $200. I know its not enough for audiophile quality set - But lets see what you can recommend! :)

Here is an audiophile quality Headphone perfectly suited for portable/computer applications. These are low impedance phones so they will not tax the electronics. These will give ample sound and would prove to be extremely comfortable as they do not sit on the ear but around it.:)

You will be hard pressed to find a better headphone than this one for the said purpose.

The best thing about them is they cost less than $200 delivered to your door from Amazon, no tax and they ship free if you opt for UPS Ground. I can safely say that at the current pricing they are an absolute steal. If I was in the market to buy a headphone for under $200 of my own money, I would without batting an eyelid get these
