Good day to all,

Since last week I have problem with my Internet Explorer Browser where I
can't see certain picture with jpeg type.
Firstly I thought that only my website have that problem but unfortunately
other sites also face the same problem.
I seek an advise from anybody who have face the same problem before and hope
to have the solution.

Thanks

Are you using Norton Internet Security by chance? If not then please post a
link to a page with such an image, and tell us which image is missing for
you....

Murry, I've never experienced the problem but I have a FP web site that has
a page of images. The images (thumbnails) always appear for me. But, many of
the people who view my site over the internet complain to me that many of
the images don't appear. It's weird, one person even sent me the code for
the page/s. I found that parts of the code were missing!

I've never been able to solve the problem. I don't use any Norton products.

Thanks

Kerry

you probably have spaces in your file/folder names.

post the url to the page(s) with the problem for a more better answer.

Just as Stefan mentioned I see the 4 logos as well. One thing that might be
contributing is overall file size of the images. For example this image:

http://www.poliku.edu.my/images/LogoBpp.jpg

has had it's length and width dimensions reduced in FrontPage..however the
overall file size is still way to large for that. It is currently 19,497
bytes.

It's best to optimize images to needed dimensions in an image editing
program.

Perhaps you don't, but your visitors do. Are the missing images named
"Banner" or anything like that? Or are they typical banner sized images?
Norton does precisely what you are describing.

Thanks Murray and others who've answered my thread. I can't put a link to
the page because it contains nudity. But this may be part of the problem -
image names. Most of the images are in the 120x90 thumbnails.

Next time someone writes to me complaining that they can't see the images.
I'll ask them if they use Norton.

Thanks for your help, I now think I might be on the right track to solve the
problem.

Kerry

Just change the image sizes to 121x89 - that's usually enough to do the job.

And we love nudity here. Why, I'm typing in the nude right now....
