some images won't download

hi,

i'm using hotmail. when you compse a message to send, you
get the rich text format toolbar at the top of the textbox
that you're writing in (the one with all the smilies and
font's size blah blah..).

For some reason, it dosent load anymore. it gives me a red
X (as in, not available). I tried every trick in the book.
I don't know what to do.

Please help me... :-)

Try the following and see if it helps.

I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more - red x - images missing - fuzzy
images/distorted images

Hi,
I'm getting the same problem on Hotmail with my home laptop ever since I
went to ADSL and installed the XP (Home) firewall. Doesn't seem to help if I
switch the XP firewall off. Text edit Icons on Yahoo mail are fine, but
Hotmail gives me the dreaded 'red X'.

I've checked the IE settings for multimedia and they are all
fine..........any ideas folks?
 
Hi Alan,

I read a bit further along in the notes Jan directed us to - and the simple
solution that worked was to delete all the temporary internet files. Hey
Presto! There was then enough room to download the hotmail format pictures.

Simple when you know how.....thanks for the help everyone.
