I am attempting to design a new database in Access.
It is for the Management of all the Admirals in the US Navy.
Would anyone be interested in helping me design this thing?
I have the one that we currently use, and its quite a mess (or at I think it
is).
But fixing it seems to be too hard for me.
It is allot to get into during a post like this, so if you would be
interested in taking a look at the data I have, and correspnding via Email
and/or Phone , that would be a great start !
Come on, I know some of you DB guru's are bored and would love to help me
out !

What I do to create a new database.
- analyse on paper the functions you want (new, edit, print, etc)
- analyse the required data on the output you want
- create a data-model on entitiies and attributes (tables) using
normalisation.1-5
all on paper.!!
- then create the tables and link them.
create queries, forms/reports, macros (or VBA) menus

that is all.

If you need more help, email me (e-mail address removed)

maybe he's it! <g>
come on Tim, don't you have time to act as a total stranger's personal
application development consultant and tutor, for free? after all, you don't
have a life, or a living to earn, do you? <bg>

How do these people that cannot program access get a job like that? I have 2
degrees and cannot get a job in the military. Scary stuff!

don't stress, hon - you can't take everything you read at face value, even
in our wonderful Access newsgroups! ;)

Like everything else, IT in the Navy has been out soured to the lowest
bidder. Many of us need to do our own programming and developing even
though we are not trained to do so. The Navy will not fund application
development on a small scale. (Less than 10,000 users)

If that was not a typo said:

I dread to think who counts as a user!

All the best
