Some characters don't display correctly

When browsing on IE6, some characters (especially
quotation marks, colons, dashes, etc.) don't display
properly. Instead, they come out as checks or strange
boxes. One font that wasn't working is size 8 Tahoma.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
