New HP laptop, Media Center installed, MS Works 8.0 OEM install. HP 895CSE
printer, used w/old computer and worked fine. When a doc created in Works
WP, Word or Wordpad (Notepad) is sent to the printer, the printer
acknowledges data and completes all the mechanicals of printing, but no text
appears either color or black. (new black cartridge)
A spreadsheet doc from the same Works installation prints perfectly and
printing
from a webpage is also perfect. The demo print from the printer Properties
indicates no problem and prints fine.
I have pulled and reinstalled the printer driver, installed a fresh Word,
changed cables and searched HP online help with no success. Thoughts?
