Solver Questions

I am not new to Excel, but I am very new to functionality outside o
functions such as SUM and VLOOKUP.

One of the areas I support has an Excel Spreadsheet, which was built b
someone else, that uses Solver. This is something totally new to me.
I did not even know about it until a few minutes ago.

The area that uses the Solver Add-In uses it for several workbook
within the spreadsheet. Can a Macro be written so the user does no
need to go through each workbook.?

Where can I go for more help on this? I have not written a Macr
before, but I do have VB experience.

Hi Pam,
Without knowing exactly what Solver does in each worksheet it is hard to be
definitive. But in general you can write a macro to call Solver. I believe
there is a KB document at the Microsoft website. You may also want to visit
www.solver.com to learn more about Solver.
