Contacted Epson and the solution was very simple. Seem that the printer wants
at least 3 inches behind it to work properly when printing DVD's. Don't know
why, but it works.
Thanks to all for the friendly advice. I tried it all.

If you look at the back of the printer you'll notice a slit. This
allows the CD holder to travel though the printer. Reason for this is
because the printer doesn't have enough room within the printer itself
for the holder while printing (hence the need for a gap behind the
printer).
However, for most people this isn't the problem. The actual CD holder
placement is critical, and seem to be different for certain users.
For example, I need to have the arrow heads just slightly off centre
to get the CD printed, whilst other users find they need to enter the
CD holder all the way in, and as one user has mentioned he needed to
remove the plastic strip.
Suggest you just play around until you find the best way for
yourself:-)

Regards,
John.
