Solution for msdtc.exe 100% cpu usage

In my computer the msdtc.exe was consuming 98%+ of CPU usage.
After I have installed McAfee VirusScan the system started behaving like this.
Then i have installed SP4 for win 2000 profession still the same problem.

Finally I have updated the McAfee VirusScan thru auto update. It updated
several files, after that the problem has been solved.

so if you have McAfee VirusScan in your system then try to update their software.

This sort of information would be much more helpful if you mentioned what
version of McAfee you are running. There are several, and they may not
all have the same problem.
