I know this is not one of those things that is critical
but it would be nice to be able to use since it's on
here. I am not able to bring up Solitare or the other
games that come with Windows XP. I used them here and
there and then one day they were gone. When going under
add/remove windows components and then to accessories and
utilites and then games all of the games are listed but I
can't bring them up. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

it should be there...look under games in the start menu....or do a search in
the games folder of Windows..

Did you try a search for Games as Bob suggested? It's possible that the
folder of shortcuts was accidentally dragged and a search will turn up the
folder of game shortcuts once again( The default in XP: Games are right
under the first flyout for (All) Programs instead of under Accessories.

Could try searching for the executables as well: Solitaire is sol.exe and
should be in the Windows\system32 folder. You should find freecell.exe and
the others there, too. If found, create new shortcuts. If not...

Go back to Add/Remove Windows components. "Uninstall" the games by
unchecking the box. Then reinstall them. You may be prompted for the
Windows CD for this step. If your Windows was preinstalled, check to see
that you have an i386 folder on the provided CD or on your hard drive that
contains the standard setup files. If yes, proceed and direct the installer
to that folder when prompted.

If your OEM CD does not contain the needed files, you'll need to contact
the computer manufacturer's tech support or check your system manuals for
directions on how to add/remove components using their recovery media.

In control panel---add/remove programs---add/remove windows components---put X
on accessories & utilities then highlight and click details---on next window
put X on game.s
