Can't play, or can't win - maybe you just suck at solitaire. :)

I haven't heard of one, but I did run into a problem once when I brought
"Freecell" to my computer. Both "Solitaire" and "Freecell" use the
"cards.dll" library but they are different. Once I made sure the
"Freecell" dll was in the same directory as "Freecell" and kept separate
from the "Solitaire" one in the system directory I had no more problem.

At long last, my Solitaire not running problem has been solved!
:-D

Somehow, cards.dll found its way to the windows/system
directory on both my computers. I've copied it to the windows
directory (where sol.exe is located) and now the game runs just
fine!

I think I moved it to windows/system because a shareware card
game I have uses the same card backs, and required the file to
be in windows/system.

So now I can play Solitaire, again! (And LOSE, again, lol!)

Thank you for helping me solve this mystery! :-D

First off.......HURRAY!! Someone who knows the difference between "lose and
loose"......grin.

Spider is better, btw. And here is a tip from Shane if your Spider game is
slow moving. Make sure your browser window is open (minimized if you
want)......it just flies when you do that.

Another tip.....(we should start them for annoying things.)

Hate the music on a website you are viewing? Hit Escape......voila, it is
turned off. You can thank Shane for that one too.

OK....next tip??

Cheers....Heather

Also, HURRAY!! Still a couple of intelligent people left on this group!

On the one box. On the other I had/have to select 3D mouse pointers (via
Desktop Themes. Bloody stupid game! <to be read in the style of Homer
Simpson saying *that Homer's always one step ahead of me!!*> ).

Lol. Sad, but true, huh? I wish it could be attributed to
different languages, but no. The words are even pronounced
differently!

Happy New Year! (((Heather)))

Same to you, old girl!! (((Laura)))

Hope it is infinitely better than 2004 for both of us. I have been remiss
with answering emails, but will drop a line and update you. Elayne was here
for Xmas.....what a treat!! Only get to see her once a year.
