i have been trying to install my hp scanning software
2100 series to my new dell pc ,ever time i try to install
the software i get a message:scanner not supported:. what
do i need to do?

I would guess you need to get a newer driver from the HP site. Look for a
driver for your particular scanner + for your Windows version.
