Before XP, computers were more geeky and the users were well
informed. Computers are now sold at WalMart and pretty
soon, probably the local grocery store. The users and the
sellers are not well informed and thus they don't even know
which questions to ask before the purchase.

| And one that always puzzles me, Ray. The same question was
never asked about
| 95 or 2000, so why is XP any more confusing? It's just as
big a change,
| interface-wise, as 95 was from 3.1 and yet no one ever
asked "I bought a
| computer with Windows 95 and it doesn't have
| Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/etc. Why?"
|
| Just a random thought.
