Running W2K for client machines on a NT Domain... Have SUS
installed on Intranet Server with W2K Server, IIs 5.0,
blah, blah, blah... Anyhow, I have SUS configured and have
downloaded all updates to the SUS Server but can't figure
out how to point my clients (W2K Workstations) to get the
updates. I am not running Active Directory because this
the PDC and BDC are NT platforms not W2K Servers...

Thanks,
Scott

You need AD Group policies to enforce the updates from a
local server. You may be able to roll out a .reg file that
will make the changes, but your users would be able to
defeat that.

My Advice:
Upgrade the BDC, make it the AD Global catalog server and
install whatever applications you need on it, and leave
the legacy stuff on the old PDC. You will need to create a
new domain for the Active directory stuff. Then create a
trust between the old and new domain and migrate your
users over. I assume your network is small so you should
be able to do the migration manually, rather than go
through the trouble of trying to automate it.

In any case, Good Luck! SUS has saved my bacon several
times.
