Software to secure USB flash drive?

Hello,

does anyone know of some software that would
password protect access to a USB flash drive?

Currently the drive I have is open wide as soon as it is plugged in.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think your best bet is to find a freeware that will create encrypted
volumns (or encrypted disks) and create one the size of your drive. I
assume that if you prefer encryption that you are looking for hard
encryption that cannot be defeated short of a bad passphrase or
leaving the passphrase in a place others can find it.
