I would like to keep private material in a hidden folder (w2k system) that
is viewable ONLY with a password. Anyone know of such an animal. I've tried
CrytoExpert Lite but it is limited to a 20 meg 'folder' size.

If you use W2K you can accomplish with this different user profiles and
security settings provided you have formatted in NTFS. Otherwise if you
truly want to keep data private you might be better off using a
removable drive such as a USB Lexar Jumpdrive.

Other than the model JumpDrive that comes with a security program, do you of
a security program that would be appropriate for a JumpDrive? I called
Lexar they said that they didn't even have one they could sell me. The
program that comes free with the JumpDrive Secure will not work on other
models.

W2k has that functionality built in, it called NTFS permissions.

If you carry a normal Jumpdrive around with you that has the secret data or
place it somewhere hidden that will accomplish what you want. Software that
works in the background and hides folders can be defeated easily by someone
who has average knowledge of Windows.

Folder Access is here:

I've never tried it.

That would be the sort to avoid then... :-)

Examples?

Thanks. Just what I need.

Glad to help. I just wish they didn't do the visual design of the program
like they did, but that's a relatively minor thing.
