Hi,

Any suggestions for software that'll backup designated folders on two PCs to
the other PC. Ideally with no user intervention ever.(perhaps a constant
trickle feed each way?). Both machines running XP Pro.

Thanks,

Fred.

True Image will do that fine.

Thats a bit more tricky.

There are a ton of options ranging in price and sophistication from
the free xcopy, robocopy, etc to inexpensive apps like cmdsync, etc.
to pricey and complicated apps like Backup Exec, etc.

One needs to know a bit more about your goals and price range to
answer more specifically. Or even if the setup you're considering is
optimal. alt.backup-software has less posters, but this is more up
their alley. Eventually you'll need to be involved to remove backup
media from one of the machines. It is still risky to leave backups
online despite the duplication.

If you mean you want every change immediately backed up that tends to
imply a more expensive program. Backup Exec 10D, for example, can do
that via "Continuous Data Protection" with Volume shadow copy. 10D's
main improvements are in D2D & D2D2T. But I'd venture a guess that it
is too expensive and complicated to be appropriate.
