Microsoft said I need additional software to publish
FrontPage Webs directly to a recordable CD by using a
drive letter. They said Windows XP does not support
packet writing, which is required to write and delete
individual files on a recordable CD.

Where do I get the additional Software?

Roxio has DirectCD that comes with EZCD creator. Even the
OEM version of EZCD has it. I would say DirectCD is the
most popular packet writing program.

It lets you write to the drive like you would a floppy,
compared to the way xp does it by writing to a folder and
then making a cd when you're ready.

You can find EZCD (Roxio) version 5 Basic on-line for about
$10 and then use the 5.3.5 update so it works well/properly
with XP. Version 6 Platinum Editions is the version you'll
find on the store shelves. The stores can't make any money
selling the full basic version.

The full version has some features, such as backup, that are
not part of the basic.
