Hi,
I haven't been able to discern from the MS support site
and these newsgroups if the following is possible;
I want to set up 2 80GB HD's in various RAID configs the
boot and system in a RAID 1 partition of some reasonable
size then use the remaining space in a RAID 0 stripping
setup. It is correct that I can setup two partitions of
equal size on both drive, make them dynamic then set each
partition to the RAID level I want?

This will be done on a clean install.

TIA.
Joe

Thanks.

Just create one partition on one disk, and then follow the instructions in
this MS Knowledge Base article to configure a RAID 1:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=302969

RAID 1 is only supported on Server versions.

Next, follow the steps in this article to create a RAID 0:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=323433

(this article is written for Server 2003, but the steps are the same in
Server 2000.)

Best regards

Bjorn
