I'm trying to find software where I can keep my resolution at 800x600
or 640 x 480 but have the desktop size set to 1024x768. Where if you
put the mouse to the edge of the desktop it will move so you can use
the full 1024x768 any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Troy Lynch

Not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for what the ATI video
cards have where you can set your desktop size to say 1280x1024 and
then set your screen resolution to say 800x600 and when you move the
mouse to the edge of the screen it'll move so you can use the whole
1280x1024 desktop.

Ah, I see what you're saying now. This feature was often seen on laptops a
few years back. The desktop was displayed as a "window" that extended past
the boundaries of the monitor. Some renditions of this type of desktop
included scrollbars at the edges of the desktop to guide you into those
extended areas.

Well, shoot. Now I know what you mean but I don't know of any stand alone
programs that can accomplish the same thing. All of the ones that I have
seen like this - the capability was built-in to the display driver.
