I am a newbie to group policy and had a general question. If I wanted
to implement a software installation via group policy and a computer
in the OU I associated the object already has that software installed
on it manually. Will the software still install and overwrite the
configuration settings on that machine? Will there be two instances
of the application on the computer or will the software just not
install at all. Also if there is an older version on the computer
that was installed manually and not by group policy will it be
upgraded automatically if the software I am rolling out is a newer
version of that application? All help is appreciated.
