Hi,

We've some PCs that have an OEM version of XP Embedded. I've tried to
install software to them through Group Policy on an Windows 2003 Active
Directory domain. The PCs never apply the group policy to install the
software.

Is there way I can confirm from these PCs if they have had the "Software
Installation Group Policy Extension" component included when XPe was
prepared?

Thanks for the reponse.

Sorry, don't know and unsure how to find out - I've very little
experience with XPe. If this is something we would have to do before
building the XPe distribution then I don't have access to this. I want
to find out if the GPO is failing due to a missing XPe component and, if
so, can I fix that without having to format and install full XP.

Can you open a command windows? If so try entering ewfmgr.exe and/or
fbwfmgr.exe, if these applications run then one of these filters are in the
image.

Tried both commands from a command prompt but neither was recognised so
I presume they are not present if I don't need to be in a specific
folder to use them?

I've had it confirmed from our vendor that the software installation
extension has not been included in this image. Is there a way I can add
this to our existing, deployed PCs?
