Hello,
I experience a little problem here...
I have created a group policy to install the adminpak.msi
on a testcomputer (assigned). At the start up screen on
the testcomputer i receive the following messages:
-Windows is starting up.....
-Applying computer settings....
-installing Administration Tools....
-CTRL-ALT-DEL.
When I log on i cannot see the Administration Tools in
start-programs directory nor in add-remove programs-
control panel.
I made sure that everyone has READ permissions. I also
made shure that the folder in which the adminpak.msi
resides is a shared folder.

Can anyone tell me where the problem is or what I might
have missed somewhere? I hope someone can because i can`t
count on help or advise from collegues because they are
anti-microsoft. Thanks a lot.

You would need to assign the group policy to a user account, not a computer
account.
The installer is installing the application, but as there is no currently
loged in user it cannot place the shortcuts in the users start menu.
Assign or publish the application to a user account and it should work.

Andy.

Hi Andy,
i tried that already but that doesn`t seem to function
either. Also other experiment don`t function for instance
a gpo with a corporate wallpaper on the desktop. Can it be
that I have to switch our domain to Native Mode before
group policy works for the full 100%?? Thx in advance
