software for mp3 player

I recently purchased a mp3 player and I joined a music subscription service
(not the pay per song - unlimited downloads). My mp3 player requires an
upgrade so that I can sync licensed music. I am not able to complete the
upgrade download, I keep getting different error messages. It is not an issue
with the software because I tried downloading it on my son's computer and it
works perfectly. He is running WinXP, as well, So it has to be a problem with
my system. I have tried differnt trouble shooting programs, including a
driver update, through both Dell and Microsoft. Does anyone have any
suggestions? Thanks in advance!
 
Compare the Security settings of both computers.
IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security tab
Also click the Advanced tab for settings.
