Dan G. asked
I stopped using the canon software because of a couple of annoying
issues. Firstly it doesn't support .bmp. Secondly it seems to have a
bug that unless you reboot when you print it will forget there is a
graphic you added to your layout... and just not print it. Also it
doesn't support anything Unicode... nor does it support Japanese (and
this is Canon for crying out loud).
There is a new version you can download, but it's Japanese only. But
needless to say, even for users who plan to just print an existing
graphic, the default canon software is sometimes inadquate for that
simple task.
No, it doesn't. Not the new MP500 anyway. Any other suggestions?
Really? I'm sure it doesn't list the mp500, but have you tried it and
failed? Sure thing requires a template, and is not 100% supported.
You can e-mail support on the details.
To be clear... Canons are not supported, but SureThing can work with
canons. The template is like a band-aid solution.

This is what I use, and it works really well. I don't use 1/2 of it's
features such as importing track lists from a CD to make a label, but
it does permit auto layout of tracks with in a circle border, a feature
I use. It also supports .bmp something the canon software simply does
not support. It also will export to .jpg and bmp. Canon "is"
supported, I have used it with the ip3000 and mp760.
Though what I found to be a pain is for example let's say I wanted one
side of the disc to be english, the other side in Japanese. To do it
perfectly I find that I have to create one label with the english
saved, than input the Japanese.
One complaint, it doesn't support transparent GIFs.

The ip3000 was supported, and could be used with the mp760. I'm not a
big fan of the nero cover designer, but it's what many people already
have.
