I'm looking for one that's similar to Enditall and can work on Windows
XP PRO,

I've tried Enditall v 2.0 but I find that it can't close a lot of
programs in the system tray. Its help file does not mention that it
is compatible with Windows XP. I'm just wondering whether it is
incompatible and so it doesn't work as it should.

I just need something to close applications that are in my system tray
automatically. At the moment, I have to right click on each icon and
click on the "Exit" button - a real tedious job. Perhaps, a macro
would do the job better but I don't know how to build a macro although
I have some macro software.

Thanks.

I use EndItAll under WinXP Pro. For me, the only program it has trouble with
is "Sticky Pad".

Batchrun 4.1 for Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP
I use it to shutdown programs to install programs and I have another file
to start them back up. Real easy to use - just pick the program to start or
shut down and the action you want to use on it.

I think this is better

Less than a meg.

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for and I got it to close
programs that refused to close with Enditall. Only problem is that
Batchrun is a bit slow. Is it also slow on your computer? I tried to
play around with the priority level but apparently that option is not
available for closing applications.

Anyway, since the price is unbeatable, I think I can live with the
speed problem. :-)

Although less complex and full featured, WIZMO from Steve Gibson will do a
prompt, graceful, forced, shutdown. www.grc.com

Thanks, but not what I was looking for. Sorry, I forgot to mention in
my original post that I'd wanted to close applications for the sake of
installing software and not a shutdown of windows which I think WIZMO
is designed for.

Once again, thanks.

Thanks, but in my case it couldn't close more than half the
applications even when I used both "close" and "kill" options.

I have an old computer and the *.brs files seem to run quite fast.
