What's working besides PowerDVD 7.0?

For those who don't know. You need a third party software DVD player to to
use a PVR TV card in Vista Media center.

Why? Because media center is bloatware at it's finest, and DRM can be a huge
pain if/when it breaks.

VLC player works great in RC1. It's freeware and plays every format I have
ever tried and doesn't use that nasty DRM crap. It's also nice light software
that has twice the functionality of WMP or MC

Before anyone flames me saying that DRM prevents piracy, well let me tell
you that it sure is a HUGE pain in the ass when DRM acts up and you can't
play any of the DVD's you bought in the store because MC or WMP says that you
don't have the proper license to play it.

Why? My ATI 550Pro works fine in Media Center with no 3rd party dvd
player.

Im MCE2004 and 2005 you needed one. Nice to know you don't need one in
Vista although it's not information readily available.
