Softmods on 9000 series

Which models in the 9000 to 9700 series are soft modable? I want to get the
best card I can for my money but have a budget of £130. Been looking at the
9800 pro, but see some say to get lower 9000 series cards and soft mod. Any
advice? Is softmodding easy? Can it damage the card?

In my opinion any money or modding (if possible) on a 9000 or 9200 card is a
waste of time. They're both crippled. Get a non-AIW 8500 128 Meg...way
better, way faster. Inexpensive now, too. Second choice would be an 8500LE
or 9100 128 Meg. Both way better than a 9000 card. Both cheap.
