Soft to help editing Audio/Music

Hello,

I want to add voice comments and musical background to a movie. I already
know how to record voice and add music to the Audio/Music portion of the
timeline ... separately. Now, I would like to blend my voice comments with
the musical background. Can I do that directly with WMM or do I need a third
party sound mixing software ? In the later case, what would you recommend me
?

Also, is there any way I can save in a file the native audio information
coming from the video recording ?
