Because, thats the only reply that is given. IF a person is running an
antispyware, then its goodbye, over. Go Look after yourself.
A reminder: Opera isn't affected by malware, incase it isn't obvious
Hah! - only because no-one can be bothered to write malware for it! (and
because the users of Opera tend to be more techno-savvy than the noobie
computer user)
I can make no sense of what you're trying to say in your first para, here -
quite apart from the fact that it is common decency to include at least
relevant parts of the post to which your responding
Why, when you update Opera, do you have to uninstall the old version? Why do
security patches for Opera come out so often?
WRT spyware, even Opera is subject to the problem - because many times the
user is the interface which allows the malware into the PC, not the browser!
Here in the IE groups, we admit reality - the average user (who doesn't
exist!) knows nothing about how to use 'safe hex', and tends to click
merrily on anything that looks pretty just to see what happens. We therefore
attempt to deal with the consequences in the most sensitive way we can - but
sometimes people just don't want to be told that the problem may be their
habits, rather than the fault of the program they're using.
Where the problem is malware, if the initial exchanges don't bring about a
resolution, then the OP is pointed towards specialist forums, where they get
dedicated and knowledgeable assistance from experts in the field.
It's very obvious that you've never spent any time in these newsgroups!
