Just curious what everyone Reliability score is after a couple weeks.
Mine is a pitiful 3.98. It's low because of all the apps and misc
failures.

Lot of those app's are new and designed for Vista. I like Vista but
it's starting to look like it was released before it's time. The good
news is it can only get better (hopefully)

Mines been 5.32, but most problems were
caused by software not vista ready, and drivers not vista
ready.

I don't think Vista Ready is Vista Ready!

Think it should have been incubated 9-15 more months!

Maybe we should also include how long yu have had it installed. Mine
was 6.1 at one time. ;)
Two weeks later and its 3.98

5.2 after 1 1/2 months of every day use as my main computer. All of the
problems have been caused by ATI drivers and me trying to install the wrong
driver for a webcam.

Mine was at 7.43 3 days ago, which was the lowest. Its been climbing
steadily. Today its at 7.96.

This is on a 2.4 GHz P4 single processor, Soyo Dragon 4X440 MB, 1.5 gigs
ram, NV6600GT video, SoundBlaster Live Gamer, and a ton of hard drive space.
Vista Home Premium.

Got all my old apps installed, except for Truespace 7.1 which isn't
compatible yet. I'm running my old copy of Truespace 6.6, which runs fine.

My "old apps" are...

Photoshop 7
Truespace 6.6
MS Office '95 (REALLY old!)
Winamp
VB Express 2005
Sound Cue System (Stage sound software)
Visual Pinball/ VPMame
Future Pinball
Quake 3
Doom 3
Alice
Return to Castle Wolfenstien
Descent

How does one check this rating?

In the search box start typing Reliability and Performance Monitor. When you
see it in the list click on it. When it's open click on Reliability Monitor.

Using the Vista menus:

Control Panel
System&Maintenance
Administrative Tools
Reliability&Performance
Monitoring Tools
Reliabilty Monitor

Or the old and kludgy classic menus:

Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Reliability&Performance
Reliabilty Monitor

You can push out Reliability & Performance as a desktop shortcut.

Thanks, something I didn't notice as many times as I have ventured into the
Computer Management Console; I dragged the "compmgmt.msc" from the sys32
folder to my task bar as a shortcut to make it faster to access. Anyway, I
peaked at 6.72, but have fallen down to 4.71 due to a few software failures.
It will go up I am sure as I learn what I can and cannot use. Interestingly,
Abode Acrobat was the main culprit that killed my recent high LOL.

Dare I suggest that a low reading is 'badge of honour' meaning you are
working hard!

My rating is 9.81, but I have hardly done anything on this Vista machine! I
also notice that the rating steadily climbs. Was only 9.07 a week ago.
