Is there anything a person can do to speed up IE on a cable modem?
It is slow to open, and then, hitting a favorite or a hot link takes
forever, or plain doesn't open at all. I have done many spy and virus scans.
Is there anything else?

Windows version? What exact programs have you run?
Please name them -

Using XP with SP2 and IE7.
I don't know what you mean by programs I have run.
A while back, most of my favorites suddenly looked like this:Intel Owner's
and: Symantec's

Could this be a problem?

IE7 is not supported in this IE6 specific newsgroup.

Thank you, Silj.

The error with the 39's happened in IE6.
On the list of newsgroups, there is no IE7, and I figured the MVP's would be
familiar with it.
However, I will read the sites you sent and will not continue here.

Do not understand what you mean by the above.

Somehow the "'s" was added.

Sounds strange to me, but the sites still worked.

Confused

I don't know why it is not coming through, but I will try once more:
Symantec's United States Homepage and Hoover's Online

These are two examples. Could it have been caused by a virus?
