so many problems with xp lately - taskbar

I'm hoping someone can help me
1. my taskbar freezes, start button and clock black out
and I have to reboot (ctrl alt del). i used the taskbar
tool from kellykorner.com, but the problem keeps coming
back.
2. A "the page cannot be displayed" web page screen will
appear above my taskbar and I cannot remove it.
3. I've checked for viruses and spyware - clean
4. I have spybot and zonealarm on my computer - could this
be causing some problems?
Any suggestions are welcome.

I do not know about Spy bot but Zone Alarm should not cause this problem. Have you changed anything or downloaded anything before this problem started?
 
Not that I know of. My 3 children also use the computer
and that is why I'm constantly running spybot. It usually
picks up spyware (i.e., bargain buddy, gain) and I clean
it. The other strange thing is that I have to reboot by
ctrl alt del (since my start button doesn't work) and when
it's trying to reboot I get the message about rundll32 not
responding. I have to click on end now for the restart to
complete. Do you know what rundll32 is?
