SNMP Service hangs with "...insert disk into drive A:." popup.

Running W2k Server SP3. From time to time, the SNMP
service stops responding to polls from my SNMP server
(although it says running in the services view).

When I look at the server there is a snmp.exe popup that
asks to insert a disk into drive A. If I cancel the popup
or insert a disk and press retry then the SNMP service
restarts itself.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

Gavin.

Hi Gavin,

See this most often with NIC Teaming software installed. Check with the vendor of the NIC
Teaming software.

Thanks,
Gary
