Saw a program, can't remember the name, that would find errors on your hd
that had a free download. I thought what the hell, I'll look at it. It
found some 85 "errors" that it wanted to fix, all I had to do was send them
$28.00 for the password to activate it. The "free download" would probably
tip off you more experienced guys but I confess I fell for it. I'll bet
most of the "errors" were duplications of files I have in different
directories for backup. Is there any *really* free ones out there that do
that?

try www.pricelessware.org and you will see a list of free programmes
to clean your system

they include registry cleaners, defragmenters etc

my fave is regseeker - goggle for it, but be sure you know what you
are doing
