When I tried to open my nForce tray options I received
the subject error message. Additional error message:

Does anybody know what the interpretation of the above
error message means? Further, how does one uninstall a
Microsoft update that pertains to a divice driver that
does not reflect a ID number on the installation log?

Try "Rollback Driver" in the properties for this sound device. Then check
with Nvidia for more info on how to update the drivers for this device
without getting any error messages. Perhaps they have an update more
current than the one at Windows Update that will fix this?
