Snapshot Viewer

I have a report which I need to distribute to others. Some may have Access
installed others may not.

I see I can export the report to Snapshot viewer format.

1. Is there a Microsoft link I can send people so they can easily download
the snapshot viewer?

2. If people already have Access installed on their computers do they need
to download the viewer? Does it matter which version of Access they have?
If they don’t actually need to download the viewer, would it cause a problem
if they did?

I am using Access 2003, the database is in the 2000 format.

With hopeful thanks.

I don't think there's a simple yes/no to your part 2.

From memory, you can choose to include or exclude the Snapshot viewer if you
do a custom install of Office. Therefore a user may need to find their disk
and install it from there.

If a user has an earlier version of the viewer, it may not be adequate.

AFAIK, there are no side effects to downloading the viewer.

Thank you - helpful
