I have a report that I want to send via email. Once the recipient opens the
snapshot, I would like for them to be able to enter information in certain
fields. How do I accomplish this?

Thanks

You can't. Snapshot is (by design) a snapshot of the data. It can't be
edited. Sending the report as a Word document or a Spreadsheet would allow
them to change the data, but they can't send it backl and have it
automatically update your database. You can't send a record to someone,
allow them to edit it, send it back, and merge it into your database as a
basic function of Access. You'd have to save thier revisions and then do
some type of import or update query.

If your user wants to 'enter data in a field' they would need to open your
database file.

Does the recipient need to have access on his computer? If one cannot see
snapshot without access, is there another way to view the snapshot?

On the Report Snapshot, I do want them to email it back to me; however, I do
not need to have this entered into my database. Does this change the
statement that one cannot enter info? Is there another way to transmit
report format and info?

They need the separate Snapshot Viewer program which is a small (and free)
download from Microsoft.

They would not be able to edit the report.
