Excel 2007's ribbon is driving me crazy.

I am trying to create a flow chart and need to make things snap to grid.
With no drawing toolbar I was forced to add an autoshape (I did not
need) after which what corresponds in 2007 ribbon to the "drawing
toolbar" appeared. After selecting the autoshape, I clicked on Format
Tab, then Align\snap to grid. Nothing happened! The autoshape did not
snap to grid or anything.

1. How do I set Excel 2007 to snap to grid?
2. Is there any way to get rid of the ribbon and back to the old toolbars?

Frustrated user.

I found out that what I did work for future created autoshapes but not
for the one created and selected. Prior to Excel 2007, right click on an
object had an option for "snap to grid", but that does not happen in 2007.

Is there any way to get rid of the ribbon and back to the old toolbars?
