hi,,

currently have an issue with a snap server taking an extremely long time to
copy files to and from an SBS 2000 server and network attached to this.
confusion arises as there is a second snap server (4400) on the network
which doesn't have this issue.

this only seemed to happen int he last month.

thought it might be a windows update, still investigating this.
have plugged my laptop into the gig switch that connects to the problem (and
working) snap server and downloaded without a problem.

have also placed a vmware machine on the network and this isn't part of the
domain but is still slow to copy etc.

ftp and http exhibit the same issues.

any ideas

thanks in advance

Disk issues, like a dying one that takes forever to complete its
operations?

Possibly also networking issues? One example is if a NIC's link speed
is "Auto Select" it frequently chooses suboptimal speed(s). Are we
sure the 2 snap servers are configured exactly the same and are
reached the same, equally accurate way on the network? If yes then
investigate the HW like above
