When I click on any menu button, I get sent to the switchboard manager. All
end user forms and reports are done and appear in the manager. What's wrong?
I am totally Wizard dependant w/no code experience. Please help me.

This is the undocumented "SBM now has a mind of it's own" bug. It
begins to take over all operations like HAL.
Just kidding. :-)

Could you provide a bit more information on what exactly is happening?

Part of me thinks the SBM is being launched whenever you press any
items on the main Access menu bar (like File, Edit View, etc.). If so,
that is a new one on me. Resetting all the menu bars should probably
fix that.

The other part of me thinks that whatever button you press on your
Switchboard *form* launches the wizard again. Is this what you
are seeing or is it something else?

What Access version are you using?

Hello Jeff,
I am using Access 2003 on XP. Here are more details on what's going on...All
objects have ben created and now I need to build a switchboard for end users.
I open the switchboard manager and make "main switchboard" the default. Then
I name one item (patient census) to be listed on that main page; I create a
Patient Census page (using "application" as the type, temporarily) and list
various forms and reports for the 4 items on that page. Once all done, I
remove the "application" type and edit in "switchboard" as type. Then I save
and back out of the manager. I look at the "Forms" in object list, select the
main switchboard and it opens, showing the Patient Census button I built.
When I click on that button, instead of opening to the Patient Census page,
the system opens into the switchboard manager, as if I am just creating the
page and page items. Is that sufficient detail? What must I do to get this
menu to actually open into the created pages? Thanks, Lounce

Hi Lounce,

Open the Swithboard Items *Table* and post the records here so I
can examine them. For example:

SwithboardID ItemNumber ItemText Command Argument
1 0 Main Switchboard 0 Default
etc....
