Hi Everyone, I have a Latitude C600 running XPSP2, and recently I noticed
that the display is always smudgy when powered up. It's very annoying and
I've tried everything I know. I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks in
advance.
Regards,
Andy

Is looks like the LCD is going "bad." I have not seen this happen
before on a laptop but this usually indicates that the display is
starting to have electronic problems (at least on CRT monitors.)

Try changing the resolution.

You write 'display is always smudgy when powered up' - well you obviously cannot
see anything until it is powered up - does that in reality mean that it improves
as the display has been on for a while.

What kind of display have you got. Some of the older types with tubes are
getting very old and it is time they were replaced as the focus is getting
poorer with age - also the Extra High Tention may not be the full 22-25 KV and
that will make things look 'smudgy'
