The Reverend

Since my computer crashed (thanks, MSN!) and I had XP reloaded, I have
to deal with the Picture & Fax Viewer instead of the old way of
bringing the pics up (I have XnView right now, but it's not the same).
There was another one, but it conflicted with my CD burning software.

Anyway, the old way had that "smudging" button (which let me get away
with quite a few things). Is there such a button on any of these other
(or another) program so I can at least feel like things were kinda the
same?

Thanks!

Plus, I still can't get the text & pics on my screen the same as it was
(did the text resizing and what MSN told me), but there is something
still wrong. Why must the good always suffer (even if I am evil
sometimes)!

Microsoft Picture and FAX viewer is the default, so you must have had some
other program installed. Since you don't tell us what it was, may I suggest
the free IrfanView?

Smudging buttons are usually parts of graphics programs. They're not a part
of the Paint program included with Windows so that means you had a third
party program installed. We have no way of knowing what that program was.
There are often nice little programs included with hardware - scanners and
cameras, for example. Suggest checking through your disks to see if you can
find the program that you were using before. If it was something that you
downloaded (there are many free little programs of this sort too), suggest
running a Google search or browsing through the offerings at a download
site such as download.com. Hopefully you'll find the missing program and
can get it installed again.

I have no idea what the other program was, but it kinda looked like
IrView (I deleted that as it interfered with my CD burner), and what I
remember, there was a smudge button & a brightness button. I was told
there was a Kodak program on the other Windows programs, but now it
costs money.

I just want my smudge button back, as I still can't figure out the
Photoshop program.

:(

Take a look at Photo Plus 6.0 at http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ it's
free and not crippled...pretty good too.

use.
