Hi,
On our Internet gateway server's event log we've been
getting SMTPSVC warnings, ID 100, repeatedly. The
description reads: "The server was unable to logon the
Windows NT account 'webmaster' due to the following error:
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."
Before the above warnings, we also got TermDD errors, ID
50, only on July 3rd. The description reads: "The RDP
protocol component X.224 detected an error in the protocol
stream and has disconnected the client." In the Knowledge
Base, it says this error could be ignored if a client has
disconnected his session correctly. I have no way of
knowing if that's the case for us.
At the same time we also got the same warnings and errors
on our VPN server, which is also a RAS machine. On the
VPN server, in the application log, we've been also
getting Information events with Slave as the source and ID
1. Each of them have different descriptions. Also on
this server, prior to Slave events, we also got two
DNTUS26 errors. The description says: "The description
for this event can't be found."
Could anyone tell me, why all of a sudden, we've been
getting these messages?
Thanks
