When setting up email of jpg, I mistakenly typed "smpt" rather than "smtp," and therefore my email would not go through. However, that mistaken protocol signature seems locked in the system now, and I am not sure how to change it to the correct protocol. I am not that great at computers! Does anyone know how to correct my mistake? Thanks.

I guess you are using Outlook Express?

Does your normal e-mail work correctly? I wonder
if it's possible that you simply need to adjust your
security settings.

Try this...on your Outlook Express screen...go to...
Tools / Options / Security tab...

Uncheck..."Do not allow attachments to be saved or
opened that could potentially be a virus"...
(after the change be sure to left click...Apply / OK)

If that is not the problem...maybe the following info
will lead to something useful:

On your Outlook Express screen...go to...

Tools / Accounts / Mail tab...

Left click (select) your Default Mail account and
left click the "Properties" button...

On the "Server" tab you should find the field that
contains the URL for your SMTP server.

For additional info on Outlook Express 6...

Try this link:

Or go to the following site:

http://tinyurl.com/218p

Wait for the page to load.

(if the newsgroup list doesn't load,
left click your Refresh button)

Scroll down the list in the left pane to:
