My client is running Outlook 2003 and Windows XP Home.
He can receive e-mail, but cannot send. Varous error
messages are returned. The problem also occurs on his
second PC. Both PCs are on the same LAN. Their ISP says
that there are no problems with the server. I attached
my PC to my client's network and configured my Outlook
2000 to send and receive mail on their account. This
worked perfectly. I changed the account on his PC to
send and receive e-mail from a different ISP. This
worked as well. Why can we not send e-mail using that
particular user / ISP combination?

Could be a corrupt mail profile. You can recreate it by going to Control
Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...

Thanks for responding. Your suggestion didn't work, but
uninstalling and reinstalling Office did work.

Previously, I reinstalled without first uninstalling.
That didn't work.
