Smooth Scrolling of Documents/web pages etc

Ive just rebooted XP Pro and i have noticed that when i scroll through word
documents, web pages that the scroll effect is very 'jumpy'. ive tried my
mouse scroll options to rectify the problem but nowt happens apart from the
speed of this problem! any help would be great for this amateur computer user!

Try disabling smooth scrolling in the Control Panel > System >
Advanced > Performance > Settings. And see "Scrolling Up or Down in
Web Page May Not Be Smooth"

If you have Power DVD installed, try uninstalling mouse hardware and software
and Power DVD. Then reinstall mouse software and hardware.

Found this elsewhere and fixed my scrolling problems and screensaver
activation.
